2

2 is the date although 3 should really be the title of this post. Our baby Leila turned 3 years old today and had her first real party with people other than family there. It was a great success. Leila isn't as fond of attention as her bigger sister, so things like opening presents with everyone looking tend to overwhelm her a little. Fairy Sarah (who I really cannot recommend highly enough) also directed a lot of questions to Leila, but she deferred to her sister every time.

The cake was a hit, the snack boxes for them all to eat during the "show" very popular and the birthday girl really did feel very special. What more can you ask for?

Leila looks so happy Victoria. I know too much attention and crowds tend to overwhelm our slightly more sensitive little people - but they learn to deal with it with a little bit of practise and not too much pushing on our part. And congratulations on the cake!!!!! That is a tremendous achievement - I could easily think it was professionally made - but I guess that is the dream and your certaintly mastering the culinary side of it.Happy Birthday Leila. Hope all your little girl wishes come true!

Lovely! Of course it's beautiful and special just for Leila. She looks to be quietly enjoying herself here. I wonder if the tables will turn when the girls are older and she might become the 'louder' one?

Hurry up with that cafe dream won't you!!!

What a lovely birthday. Our daughters are born 1 day apart. I have a three year old bday tomorrow. Love the cake, it turned out so beautifully. I was hoping my girl would pick that one from the Womens Weekly cookbook, but we're having a fairy toadstool house instead...!

Having had the honour of being invited to the party myself (and the kids of course), I do recommend Fairy Sarah – the best entertainer ever... and the cake looked fantastic and tasted delicious. Thank you for a great party!
